It's off! Our dossier is complete and in the mail! It's headed to our agency's headquarters and then to Uganda! The dossier is a compilation of our homestudy, birth and marriage certificates, medical documents, police clearances, and pretty much any piece of important information about us that you could put on paper. It seems easy enough to explain, but it's a lot more intricate and time consuming to do. We are thankful for the God given energy to work thoughtfully and quickly on it.
So what now? We will continue applying for grants, fundraising, and completing the education hours required for this adoption. And, we will begin waiting!
Before today, the hours and days of our family of three did not seem limited, but sending the dossier brings far more of the realization that our time together, Lord willing, is numbered... approximately 3 to 12 months. So instead of simply waiting, which can be consuming and painful, we are purposing to do a lot of enjoying... enjoying one another!!
